Man Charged with Aggravated Robbery and Capital Murder
PHARR - A 24-year-old man is in jail for his alleged role in a deadly home invasion earlier this month.
Pharr police officers arrested Ambrosio Guadalupe Rodriguez on Saturday. Rodriguez faces one count of capital murder in connection to a March 13th home invasion on the 900 block of East Dreyer Street. Police say a 16-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man were shot as three men stormed the home.
The teen later died from his injuries. Police suspect Rodriguez was one of the men involved.
Pharr Police Department officials said Rodriguez also faces a single count of aggravated robbery, stemming from a different incident at another home in Pharr. Rodriguez was given a $1.5 million bond and taken to the Hidalgo County jail. Pharr Police Department officials said both incidents are still under investigation.
