WESLACO – A cookie manufacturer is recalling certain packages of a popular snack.

Mondelez Global issued a voluntarily recall on its 13 ounce packages of of Chewy Chips Ahoy after receiving reports of an “unexpected solidified ingredient”.

The suspected packages have the expiration dates of Sept. 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2019.

Customers are being asked to not eat the cookies and should call the company at 844-366-1171 for more information.
