PHARR – The city of Pharr is getting ready to fill up a brand new water tower.

City Engineer and Director Omar Anzaldua says the 1-million-gallon tank off Eldora Road should be ready for use this April.

Anzaldua tells us it won’t be replacing any other towers but was commissioned to supplement current storage and accommodate future growth.

The tower cost the city about $2.7 million.
