WESLACO – A Rio Grande Valley veteran says a new program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture could benefit her community.

‘Battleground to Breaking Ground’ is a new program in which veterans are eligible to receive loan assistance for farming.

KRGV’s Frank McCaffrey spoke with an agriculture expert about this opportunity.

Applications for the program will be accepted from July 15 through July 20. You can learn more and apply at the USDA website.
