RIO GRANDE CITY – A request for a restraining order against two Rio Grande City Consolidated Independent School District officials was ordered over the weekend.

Two people are still claiming the superintendent position; the Texas Education Agency is now taking notice.

Over the weekend, four board members requested restraining orders from the 229th District Court.

They're asking the judge to keep the interim superintendent and the board president 300 feet away from all school property.

The move comes after several back and forth interactions surrounding school board meetings.

At last check, the temporary restraining orders have not been granted.

The Texas Education Agency confirmed to us they’ve received two complaints regarding the district.
