RGV Livestock Show Benefiting from Volunteers for 80 Years
MERCEDES – The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show has come and gone.
It was a huge success thanks in part to the one group that makes it work every year – the volunteers.
It’s a smooth running show with a lot of planning, included in that are 600 volunteers.
“Without the help of the volunteers, I cannot say the show would not go on, but it would be a very difficult for the show to go on,” said Antonio Longoria.
Sometimes you don’t even know they are there, but that is part of the plan. They volunteer without a lot of fanfare.
