Surveillance Cameras Lead to Illegal Dumping Arrest in Hidalgo Co.
NEAR EDINBURG – A Rio Grande Valley man was arrested Wednesday on illegal dumping charges.
Hidalgo County Precinct 4 constable J.R. Gaitan said using surveillance cameras to catch violators is proving to be successful.
“We spotted the truck and he confessed. He gave us a statement that he did so we took action right there and then,” he said.
The suspect is facing a Class B misdemeanor charge.
Gaitan said the fines for illegal dumping can vary.
