BROWNSVILLE - The Texas Department of Transportation announced sporadic lane closures along Boca Chica Boulevard in Brownsville for an overlay project. 

The lane closures will take place on Texas State Highway 48 between I-69E and Business 77 starting on Dec. 11 and continuing on until Dec. 19. 

The road will be affected on these days from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists are asked to be attentive to all signage in the area.
