Edinburg, TX--UTRGV Women's soccer is coming off a shut out win over Texas A&M San Antonio for its first home win of the season. Today, the vaqueros looked to extend their winning streak hosting Texas Lutheran. 

They were able to secure a dominant victory. Early in the first half, Lisa Elowsson scored to give the Vaqueros a 1-0 lead. Linnea Eld extended the lead to 2-0 with a header from a set piece in the 33rd minute. Just before halftime, Libby Pole added another goal, making the final score 3-0.

"This was going to be a big offensive effort we certainly showed that and to come out in the second half and get a few more it really showed the girls willingness to buy in to the game plan" said UTRGV Women's soccer acting Head Coach Audra Larson. 

They took the 6-0 victory.
