SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Sea Turtle Inc. opened a brand new exhibit at their educational complex at South Padre Island.

It’s estimated over 200,000 people will visit the giant tanks that hold wounded sea turtles this year.

Now, those visitors will also be greeted by the work of three artists, all from the Rio Grande Valley.

“We’re working on this series of murals that we hope will not only attract more tourists to the facility but also inspire other people that aren’t familiar with the arts,” says one of the artists, Christina Salazar.

KRGV’s Rick Diaz has more on their progress.
