EDINBURG – Five race car drivers from the Rio Grande Valley are some of the fastest in the nation and they’ve been recognized on the national level.

Their speed and talent landed them on the Discovery Channel.

Jason Cantu, Ruben Ybarra, Dylan Wells, Alex Almaguer and Servando Cuellar were picked by the network and Pilgrim Studio to take part in their highly rated show Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.

For the race featured on the episode, the prize money was over $40,000. Wells says that’s what they work towards.
