An investigation is underway following an officer-involved shooting in Edinburg, officials confirmed to Channel 5 News.

The shooting was reported Wednesday afternoon at the 2000 block of Ann Street, according to a news release.

A city spokesperson said additional details would be provided in a press conference, adding that the shooting is “no longer an active situation.”

The press conference will be livestreamed in the article and on the KRGV Facebook page.
