MCALLEN – A historic theatre in downtown McAllen hosts wrestling night every Friday.

Both wrestlers and the fans gather at Cine El Rey Theatre on 17th Street for all the fun.

James Dante is a general manager of a group called Wrestling Revolution.

“For eight years now, every Friday at 8 p.m.,” says Dante. “We’ve had many names come through our doors that are now working for the WWE. Ray Rowe, we’ve had Teddy Harden here. We’ve had the NWA World Champion here!”

The wrestlers admit that it’s not an easy sport.

They do get hurt and it takes a toll on their body, but somehow none of that keeps them out of the ring.
