BROWNSVILLE – A Brownsville man is looking for a Border Patrol agent who he says saved his life.

“He deserves the recognition. At least to be recognized as a man that cares, a man that's working for the government and for the people,” said Rusty Monsees.

Monsees says on Monday, around 3 a.m., he fell from his truck, badly hurting his leg.

He says he couldn’t move and was losing his strength.

Monsees yelled for help for about 30 minutes before a Border Patrol agent heard him.

He says the agent helped to get him back in his truck.

The Brownsville man says he hopes to thank the agent in-person and now calls him a brother.
