City Responds to San Benito Neighborhoods Outcry for Road Improvements
SAN BENITO – Residents in a San Benito neighborhood who filed numerous complaints on road improvements received a response from the city Wednesday.
They filed complaints on nuisance, road improvements and the lack of street lights, but never heard back from the city.
On Wednesday, San Benito officials agreed the roads are constantly a problem.
They added in part:
“The problem is exacerbated when heavy farm machinery uses the road to get to the fields for planting and harvesting, they tear up what improvements have been made.”
They sent crews, but with more than 80 streets needing attention, they lack the funds to completely redo Nixon Road.
Crews will continue to work on the street the best they can.
