HARLINGEN--The Harlingen Police Department is looking for the driver responsible for a fatal hit and run crash.
Natividad Chavez, 57, died at a hospital after being struck by a car as she was walking Thursday night.
The crash happened on the 1100th block of south 77 Sunshine Strip.
A witness tells police the driver of the car did not stop to help Chavez after hitting her and instead, drove east on Tyler.
Police say the suspect could be driving a white Ford Fusion, model year 2013 to 2016. CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told the vehicle has front end damage.
