Local boxers set to fight in South Padre Island on October 18th

Several boxers from the Rio Grande Valley will showcase their skills in the ring as part of the Most Valuable Prospects 16 Championship event taking place at the South Padre Island Convention Center on October 18th.
The Juarez brothers from Brownsville are part of this event. Undefeated Sebastian Juarez will take on DeMarcus Layton in a super welterweight bout. Meanwhile, older brother Omar Juarez will fight against Omar Rosario in the super lightweight division.
Harlingen native Reggie Ray Martinez and Mission's own Edgar Rosales will duke it out in the featherweight division.
The main card is between Ronny Alvarez and Bruno Pola.
