Local Woman Gets Holiday Surprise on Final Day of Rehabilitation
RAYMONDVILLE – Some unexpected holiday cheer for a Rio Grande Valley woman battling health issues over the past year.
Amy Palacios started rehabilitation almost 40 days ago at a Raymondville nursing center after she had an operation for an aneurysm.
She was happy she would be able to spend Christmas at home and was set to leave Friday.
Adding to her special day, the Raymondville mayor arrived to the center dressed as Blue Santa along with the police department.
They surprised everyone at the nursing home with blankets.
