Missing Brownsville man spotted crossing into Mexico

The Brownsville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a 69-year-old man they say is diagnosed with dementia.
The Texas Department of Public Safety activated a Silver Alert for Julian Cortez Cavazos, who was last seen Wednesday at 10 p.m. at the 400 block of West Washington Street, according to a news release.
On Friday, Brownsville police said Cortez was seen crossing into Mexico from the Gateway International Bridge at around 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Cortez is described as a white male with a height of 5’6, weighing 180 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes.
Law enforcement officials believe this senior citizen’s disappearance poses a credible threat to their own health and safety, the release stated.
