Perception of Violence in RGV Impacting Business
MCALLEN – The mayor of McAllen says the perception of the Rio Grande Valley is impacting businesses.
Mayor Jim Darling explains that hiring has been delayed because many are hesitant to relocate to the Valley.
“They've had friends or business acquaintances that don't want to come here because they're afraid of violence in the city. So that's a big deal,” says Darling.
KRGV’s Carolina Cruz spoke with a doctor who was weary when he made his move to the Valley for his career.
