Suspect Accused of Threatening Trump Won’t Stand Trial

RAYMONDVILLE – A Rio Grande Valley man who is accused of threatening the president will not stand trial, according to a federal judge.

A grand jury indicted Steven Joseph Christopher saying he did knowingly and willfully threaten to take the life of Donald Trump.

Christopher will be evaluated psychologically by a doctor at the Willacy County Regional Detention Center in Raymondville.

He will also be hospitalized in the custody of the Attorney General's Office for up to four months.
