UPDATE - Driver in Custody after Knocking Over Utility Workers in South Padre Island
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – A driver is custody after putting utility workers in danger on South Padre Island.
Police say around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, a male driver went into the work area along Padre Boulevard, dragging a cable that knocked over AEP workers who were working to replace transmission poles damaged during Sunday night's storm.
When asked about injuries the city said nobody was transported to the hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
