Valley Vietnam Veterans Honored at 50th Anniversary Ceremony in Donna
DONNA – More than 100 veterans from the Rio Grande Valley were honored for the service during the Vietnam War.
A ceremony was held at the oldest American Legion hall in the world. Congressman Filemon Vela led the event at American Legion Post 107 in Donna.
Veterans were given an honorary pin, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The commander for the legion says they plan on having at least nine more honorary ceremonies next year.
