Valley Woman Deceived by Online Hacker on Facebook
EDINBURG – A Rio Grande Valley woman was deceived by an online hacker claiming to be with the United Nations.
The hoax began with a Facebook message explaining the process for a "cash grant beneficiary."
She says she wired $260 for a $25,000 grant and is now wondering what happened to her money.
KRGV's Angelo Vargas explains how this happened and how others can avoid this situation.
