BROWNSVILLE – A disaster recovery center in Cameron County opened on Thursday.

People looking for guidance on how to recover from the floods in late June can visit the dome shelter in La Feria for more information.

A Federal Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman says those who rent or own rental properties can also apply for federal assistance with various organizations.

The La Feria center is located at 1001 Pancho Maples Drive and will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
