MCALLEN----A person of interest is now in custody in connection with an auto-pedestrian crash.

Two people are in recovery. It happened on the 200 block of South 15th street early Saturday morning.

Police said the driver fled the scene after hitting the pair. A man was left serious injuries. A woman was also hurt in the incident.
