BROWNSVILLE – A Cameron County man is facing charges for allegedly shooting at a couple.

Jose Abel Meza, 37, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim who was shot says he worked with Meza on a landscaping project but was never paid.

He says Meza opened fire when he and his girlfriend tried to collect his money.
