WESLACO – The owner of a local construction business pleaded guilty on Monday.

Adelina Briseno, owner of Briseno Construction, is accused of theft of property that exceeded $300,000.

Authorities found the company delayed home building or wouldn’t even complete the work at times – 47 victims were named in her indictment.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 13 and ranges from five to 99 years in prison.
