WESLACO – Hidalgo County Precinct 1 crews continue their work on a drainage project along Milano Road in Weslaco.

The two-mile project is happening from South Milano Road to 18th Street. Crews are working to install bigger drainage pipes to alleviate flooding in the area. 

FEMA is covering 20 percent of construction costs. 

Work should be complete in about six to eight weeks if weather permits.
