EDINBURG – It’s business as usual for Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina after being charged with organized election fraud Thursday.

Both he and his wife turned themselves in to authorities.

The District Attorney encouraged those who might have information about the voter fraud to come forward.

“We encourage any additional witnesses who were pressured to engage in fraudulent voting in Molina’s election to step forward and cooperate with authorities,” said Hidalgo county DA Ricardo Rodriguez in a statement.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas learned from a local attorney those who turn themselves in to authorities can make the process easier – they won’t be behind bars right away.
