WESLACO - The court date is set for a U.S. teen from the Rio Grande Valley detained by ICE.

Francisco Galacia's court date is set for August.

He was detained for nearly a month this summer while trying crossing through the Falfurrias check point.

He was released from custody after his attorney proved his citizenship.

Last month he was told his removal proceedings will continue in immigration court.

ICE officials say there are conflicting reports on Galacia's citizenship because of documents he presented.
