Edinburg Department of Safety Unveils New Mega Driver Licence Center
NORTH EDINBURG-- The Department of Public Safety unveiled its new mega diver license center Friday.
The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, the Texas Department of Public Safety and Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa all joined together to welcome the $2.5 million facility in during a groundbreaking cemetery.
When complete, the center will provide a number of benefits to surrounding communities including Class C Driver and all Commercial Driver License skills tests in the valley.
The 24,000 square foot facility is expected to create 68 job openings.
Construction should be complete by late August.
