Hidalgo Co. Precinct 1 Seeks Funding to Address Illegal Immigration
WESLACO – Hidalgo County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office is looking to add a new officer to their staff.
The Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved a request to apply for grant funding to hire a new patrolman.
The grant application requires constables to select a problem or focus area to be addressed, like violent crime, homeland security or illegal immigration.
The funding will be provided by the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services and runs for three years.
