WESLACO - U.S. Border Patrol is advising international students in the Rio Grande Valley to carry their immigration documents if they plan to travel for Spring Break.

The Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector said they want to avoid unnecessary delays at checkpoints.

Border Patrol Chief Agent Manuel Padilla Jr. said international students who are legally in the country are sometimes temporarily delayed because they neglect to carry proper documentation.
