Members of Congress Discuss Legislative Priorities
MCALLEN – Members of congress gathered in McAllen Monday afternoon to discuss legislative priorities.
Congressmen Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez spoke with Rio Grande Valley residents ahead of the president’s State of the Union Address.
Cuellar continues to be opposed to the border wall expansion.
He suggested a pay reform for Border Patrol agents and other Customs and Border Protection officers.
Cuellar added language in the proposed legislation prohibiting the use of funds for wall construction at the National Butterfly Center and the SpaceX launch site.
