PALMVIEW – Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Palmview.

The shooting happened after 5 p.m. on Quail Crest Drive off north Goodwin Road on Thursday.

Police said the shooters fired at Angie Cerino’s home. She said her family was inside when the gunfire started.

“My husband’s over here telling me to get down. I have kids here. I told them to get down,” she said. “I told my husband, ‘Go outside! Try to see if it was a drive-by or if somebody’s shooting or what’s going on.’”

The gunfire left one bullet hole in Cerino’s home. She said the round landed next to where her children play.

Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said they’ve only been able to identify the suspect’s vehicle. They are looking for a gold color Chevy Impala.
