PHARR – A Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District school bus full of students was involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday afternoon.

The collision happened in McAllen after 2 p.m. near Business 83 and Whalen Road.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the bus fled the scene.

According to a PSJA ISD public information officer, the students and the driver were checked and cleared by a nurse.

The children were allowed to return to school while their parents were notified.

A police report was filed at the scene.
