Schlitterbahn Co-Owner Charged in 10-Year-Old's Death Pleads Not Guilty
WESLACO – The co-owner of a water park accused in the death of a 10-year-old boy was back in court.
Jeff Henry appeared before a Kansas City judge on Thursday.
He pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including second-degree murder.
The boy was killed riding on a Schlitterbahn water slide in 2016.
Henry was extradited to Kansas from the Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday. He bonded out the next day but was ordered to hand over his passport.
His trial is expected to begin in September.
The co-designer of the water slide and a park director are also facing charges in the incident.
