SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – South Padre Island officials say Wednesday’s town meeting will give a better idea of how they plan to prepare for next year’s spring break.

SPI mayor Dennis Stahl says he and other officials including police and fire departments, and state partners looked at data in regards to the city’s expenditures, revenues, arrests and EMS calls.

He says it will help them understand what can be done to create a safer environment next year.
