Warrant Issued for McAllen Bank Robbery Suspect

MCALLEN – Police have identified the suspect in a McAllen bank robbery. An arrest warrant was issued for 60-year-old Michael Edward Wilcox.

His last known address was in Pharr on Casey Drive. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call McAllen Crime Stoppers at (956) 687-8477. 

The FBI and McAllen police are heading the investigation. Friday morning, police were still trying to identify the suspect. They released more photos of him from the bank's surveillance video. A reward of up to $5,000 was offered for tips leading to an arrest or conviction in the case. 

The robbery happened at the IBC Bank on South 10th Street Thursday, just before 6 p.m.

According to investigators, a man walked into the bank and demanded money from the clerk. They said an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
