AC Units Available for Qualifying Hidalgo Co. Families
EDINBURG – Air Conditioning units arrived at the Community Service Agency in Hidalgo County for those who qualify.
Executive Director, Jaime Longoria, explains they get them year round for families who need them.
"The families who have children under the age of six, the families who have may have an elderly member in their family, and/or someone who may be disabled in the family," says Longoria.
The agency recently helped Melesio Morales.
In my case, they came to my house to interview me. They helped me with the application, it wasn't a problem to apply," says Morales.
The units are purchased with federal funds.
Families have to reach a certain income level to qualify for the help or the new units.
