Brownsville Jogger Shot and Killed along Border Levee
BROWNSVILLE – Cameron County investigators say a man was fatally shot while jogging along the levee border.
The victim is 57-year-old Miguel Angel Valdez Hernandez from Brownsville.
Authorities say he was shot along the Rio Grande river leeve in Brownsville on Tuesday afternoon.
A farmer found the man’s body.
Investigators believe the gunshot may have come from Mexico.
Cameron County authorities say they are working with officials in Mexico on this case.
Police are looking for a vehicle of interest: a small extended cab white truck.
