Cameron Co. Game Warden Saves Infant from Choking
PALM VALLEY – A mother and her infant child are feeling a lot better after a scare Wednesday.
Texas Game Wardens tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS one of their Cameron County officers saved the baby girl’s life.
Warden Shane Horrocks was on patrol near Palm Valley when he spotted a woman frantically flagging him down off Rangerville Road.
The woman needed help with her one-month-old daughter who was choking.
Horrocks radioed for emergency medical services assistance and proceeded to conduct CPR on the child.
An official says the baby regained consciousness and was treated by paramedics upon their arrival.
We’re told Horrocks went to visit the mother and baby Friday and says both are doing great.
