Delinquent Mortgages On The Rise Following Harvey

TEXAS---Delinquent mortgages are on the rise in Southeastern Texas following Hurricane Harvey. The Associated Press cites reports by Financial Firms showing about 40,000 mortgages that were at least 90 days delinquent. The report says homeowners in areas affected by the storm had insufficient help from insurance companies or the federal government. Those unpaid mortgages are bringing fears of foreclosure with non-profit and legal aid groups. Harris County contributes to 58-percent of the rise from July through December.
