FEMA Recovery Centers in the Valley to Close This Week
WESLACO – All three of the FEMA recovery centers in the Rio Grande Valley will close this week.
The centers opened after the June storm.
The La Villa center will close first at the end of the workday Tuesday.
The center at the Raymondville location will close Wednesday followed by the La Feria center on Thursday.
FEMA spokesperson Maria Padron says, “If they haven't come out yet. If they have any questions or they have any paperwork to return, this is the time to return all the paperwork. And, they only have a few hours, or a few days.”
Padron says, at last check, nearly 8,000 applications were submitted.
Those who have questions can still call the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362.
