McAllen Memorial's Liam McGurk & Edinburg IDEA's Mauricio Solar shine at boys golf state tournament

The UIL boys golf state tournament wrapped up on Tuesday with several RGV golfers having strong showings.
The McAllen Memorial boys golf team finished tied for fourth place in the 5A state tournament in Georgetown, Texas.
Mustangs golfer Liam McGurk came in the top 10 individually, finishing tied for ninth among the 72 state qualified golfers. He shot a 71 on Day 2, which was tied for the sixth best performance of the day.
McHi's Rex Flores also competed individually and shot a 77 on both days.
Edinburg IDEA's Mauricio Solar took fifth place in the 3A state golf tournament held in Austin, shooting one over par on Day 1 and par for the course on Day 2.
