Mexican Tourism Officials Encouraging Travel to Tamaulipas
MCALLEN – Mexican Tourism Officials are encouraging Winter Texans to travel to Tamaulipas.
The U.S. State Department issued a travel warning, advising Americans to avoid Tamaulipas.
Tamaulipas tourism experts say visitors can find a variety of activities in Tamaulipas.
KRGV’s Valerie Gonzalez spoke with Tamaulipas Minister of Tourism, Fernando Olivera.
“We are promoting eco-tourism, adventure, and bird watching all in this region in the center part of Tamaulipas,” says Olivera.
He says the Governor’s Office implemented a safety initiative along state highways.
