Plans in Place to Clean Contaminated Site in Rio Hondo

RIO HONDO - According to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, plans are in place for a contaminated site to be cleaned up.

Charred cans of paint and toxic materials have stood in William Templeton’s property for nearly seven years.

The hazardous materials come from a large fire that took on the property in 2012.

Templeton has now finally entered into an agreement with the court to get his site cleaned up.

Court documents state Templeton has 45 days from Oct. 30 to provide the state with the first progress report on the cleanup.
