Resident Concerned following Robbery at Alleged 8-Liner near Home
NEAR WESLACO – A robbery at an alleged illegal gambling establishment near Weslaco has nearby residents concerned about their safety.
Residents who live off of the intersection of FM-88 and Mile 14 ½ feel they need more security.
KRGV’s John Paul Barajas spoke with one of the residents. She says she worries about the nearby eight-liner business every day.
"There are a lot of kids here, like my grandkids, who are outside playing. All the neighbors have grandkids and so it’s dangerous that one accidentally shoots a bullet over here and it hits someone," she explains.
