Salvation Army's Angel Tree program helping children's holiday wishes come true

Nearly 400 children in the Valley need the community's help to open a present on Christmas Day.
With only four days left, time is running out to participate in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, which helps make Christmas wishes a reality for Valley children living in underprivileged homes.
The Salvation Army has identified more than 1,500 kids whose parents may not afford a gift this Christmas. That's when the community steps in to help make Christmas dreams come true.
"It just brings a smile," Commanding Officer for the Salvation Army McAllen Corpse Lt. Adolph Aguirre said. "[It] brings relief to the parents— understanding that there won't be that pain of not receiving a gift during Christmas."
